DVD Drive Problems

the first day i got my comp i seemed to have problems with my dvd drive, any time i'd try to play a dvd the video would horribly skip, like really bad, yet in the store i saw my same computer running just fine with a dvd, so i don't really know whats up with mine, i didnt really try calling the compaq hotline yet.... i just wondered if any of you would happen to know whats going on, or have any kind of clue as of whats going on so i could do it myself. its horrible bad and i really wanna run my dvd's

ahh.. forgot to mention, i may not be my dvd drive, my comp says its running fine, maybe its my video card?? or maybe some setting that i may have wrong, any suggestions as to settings i should use for running dvds... cuz i need to watch my family guy stewie griffin story!

Try updating your graphics card's drivers.

You may also check to see if there are any firmware updates for your drive. Go to the manufacturer's website and check for drivers.
