hotmail and outlook

I'm trying to connect a hotmail e-mail account to outlook and get the error message HTTP error 404 file or directory not found when I try to view the inbox of the hotmail account through outlook.

I'm doing something wrong, I just don't know what.

Please help me.

It tells me hotmail is a HTTP, if I set it up as a pop3, I don't know what to use as the incoming/outgoing ISPs.

When I did this a long time ago (hotmail w/Outlook) I used a POP3 setup. Let me see if I can find the settings on the hotmail site...

are you paying for hotmail? you cant use outlook for a free hotmail account i dont think :S

Yea no crap! I just looked it up and found some BS that you have to pay now to do POP3 POS hotmail!!! lol..ok sorry ignore me then..when I did this it was all free this was also about 4 years ago

Ok Slimer I was about to setup my hotmail account via HTTP on outlook 2003 with no problems. What version of outlook are you running?

supposedly, you can only use hotmail with and outlook only if you had the premium service of hotmail
