alright, so my friend wants a computer that will cost him around 1000, can go a little over~100 bucks or so... anyways, this is what ive come up with, i dont know about the motherboard though.. or the ram.. what do you guys think? also, if there is a part that is near the price of what ive picked and is better please say so..

im not forgetting anything am i? lol, no sound card.. he'll use the onboard sound.
 
For $10.00 more, you can upgrade your mobo and video card to pci-xpress. And if you are not over clocking you can use Corsair Value Select ram and be right back to the same price range with better stuff. Value select ram is great, just cant OC with it.

Just a suggestion. But well worth it. Cant really OC without upgrading some other things like Fans and a heatsink anyways. And yes, you need a proccesor, venice cores are great. BTW..dont know if size matters to you or not...but there is a monitor I seen in a earlier post that looked nice and was a bit cheaper (not from N.E.) but *cheaper*..lol.

oops cpu lol, its a venice 3200+, yeah, switched the ram to value select, thanks for the help.
