is there a diference in price between the SATA and IDE drives, it there is none, get a SATA only cuz of their higher bandwidth, i think Western Digital has a 250 gig hard drive with 16mb/s bandwidth on monarch for same price as an IDE drive, get that
 
A 250 GB 7200 rpm SATA drive isn't much more expensive than an IDE one, like $33. That might be the route to go. The 10K RPM SATA drives, on the other hand, cost quite a bit more.
 
get sata150 because it would be better airflow in your case :D thats pretty much why it is used, and nice build looks like you have a lot of money :eek:
 
The $1900 this will cost is actually a lot of money for me. But the idea is to get it all now and not have to worry about upgrades, etc. when I go off to college.
