Hey guys, I got a couple questions:

I just got a new board, and although all the product information doesn't say SLI, it does have the following PCI slots -

3 X PCI
2 X PCIe x 1
1 X PCIe x 16

Does this mean I could hook up 2 video cards to the 2 (PCIe x 1)'s to make it SLI? That's probably a dumb question, but I'm still new at this...

Also, say I'm buying something...say a tv tuner...how do I know which slot to put it in if it's PCIe? Does it go in the x 16 or the x 1?

Thanks again,

Stephen

PCI is for your sound cards, older video cards, network cards, um and all those kind of stuff

PCIe16 is for video cards and thats pretty much it

PCIe1 i though that was PCI i dunno

so you would need two pcie16 slots to run in SLI

The PCIx1 stuff is just starting to come to the market. It's a small step above PCI, but not worth worrying about yet.
