Windows Media Player 10

This error keeps coming up when i try to play a video or audio files online and offline. I tried reinstalling it but the error won't go away please help. Thanks.

I did that but it gives the same error

Also when i try to do the thing from the link i can't open the notepad it says "The system cannot find the path specified"
 
You might want to uninstall your Codecs as well, then start from scratch.

You need to dig the WMP out of the registry.
Then reinstall number 9 then update.

But that won't play the music on websites for example myspace.com that requires window media and the error will come up and close ie.

Where do i uninstall my Codecs and where can i find wmp registry?
 
start, run, type regedit, go to edit, find and type in WMP and delete all entries you find after you uninstall it. Back it up first just incase
 
I uninstalled the codecs i think and uninstall wmp from add and remove, add and remove components but it still gave me the same error. I installed wmp9 then updated to 10 and still the same error.

Any suggestions?
