my x300se does not have a fan on the heatsink, so if i could get hold of a small 40mm fan, (a chipset fan maybe) could i just screw it into the heatsink?? so the screws just sink in between the vertical colombs of the sink....

then i would be able to oc it a bit. the only other problem is that it has no temp sensor...... i suppose i could just go a bit up untill i hit artifacts.

thanks in advance

well, the gfx card is at the top, and as the case is BTX (it is called btx isnt it??) the gfx card is the right way up so i have loads of room. :)

can you get small chipset-style fans with molex power connectors?

thanks for the quick replies.

it is a 40mm square sink, that just covers the core.

it is two vertical snaps with springs, yea.

is that chipset fan a sink as well??

yes it's a copper sink that draws heat while the fan pushes it away.. 5000rpm so pretty snazzy I replace my passive mobo sinks with them.
