How about a nice mouse and mousepad? I don't know what you're using now, but if it's just basic stuff, a new higher end mouse and mousepad would definately improve your gaming experience.

for my 2 pennies, if you really want to get new speakers:

A. 5.1 speakers are a waste of money
B. get these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16836119101 They are better than most 5.1 systems. They cost $150, little over your budget but look for them on sale at Zzf. I got mine for 120, amazing speakers .

I'm just using a straight up Microsoft mouse.... It is the,,,, uhhhh Wireless Optical Mouse 2.0 it says on bottom of mouse. Works great for me and I play lot of games. And it works great. I hear the new "LASER" not infrared, but actual LASER mice are the new cats pajamas, lol they are supposed to be the bees knees....

Hope some of you have seen School of Rock. Hahaa, well anyway the Lasers are from Logitech and they look nice averaging around $50 USD. I dunno how they are though?
