Thank you for the link, I will use that as a last resort but I have 2 more questions plz...

First, my windows is installed on my 160GB HD, but this drive is partitioned into 2 partitions, 30GB for the main windows, and 130GB is full of games and movies...With the fdisk, will I be able to format only the 30GB? Or will I have to format the whole thing?

Secondly, for now I am still trying to find solutions, so I would like to continue searching before formatting, so in the meantime I would like my system to function normally...Since I did the windows repair, my system starts running extremely slowly after a couple of hours that it is on, I have Norton scheduled at 4am, usually when I wake up it is already finished, and now I wake up and it is not even at half way...When my computer goes into the screensaver, and I move my mouse to go back to the screen, it takes around 2 minutes to go back...And when I open a window, anything, like firefox, or just a windows explorer window, it takes so much time to appear, could it be something in the options?

ok...I see one of your problems...norton is using to much resources. im not telling you to switch by any means but there are other programs like Symantec 10 Corporate and avg that dont use anywhere near that amount or resources. Im not sure if you use the bootdisk if you can do that but if you use the xp cd, it will come up as 2 different partitions and then you can pick which one to format because it sees it as 2 separate hard drives.
 
also, what file/programs/registry change did spybot allow you to change? there should be a way to look at the changes made

Spybots log isn't there...

I looked at spybot's resident, and all the logs are empty, I don't know why it's not keeping logs of allowed and disallowed registry changes...

But anyways, since I repaired windows I haven't installed anything new, and there was no registry change since then...
