I just bought a really old laptop (TOSHIBA Satellite T1960cs) from a computer thrift store in Santa Ana California for $10.07. I take the thing home, and the battery was completely dead. I'm thinking: no big deal, right? All i have to do is use my adapter and charge the thing up, right? And of corse that old "Nikel Metal Hydride" Battery dosn't. Then i'm thinking: OK. no big deal. If the Computer was only ten bucks, then the battery shouldn't be that much, Right?
Then I google Search my Battery, and find this:

And last but not least:

Yes, That's right. almost $100.00 to $300.00 price tags on these Mother***'s!!
Right now I just want the **** thing to work portably. But with a three hundred dollar price tag, i mine as well buy a brand new laptop!!
I doo some google searches and find this:
http://www.fonerbooks.com/laptop_3.htm
then that gave me an idea. So i pried my battery open, bought some rechargable batteries at wallmart, soldered everything together, and now i have a battery for my laptop that lasts an exess of 3 hours!
And all i had to do was spend $20.25 to fix it!
