reformated hardrive

ok my computer had a virus that compleately removed windows so i reinstalled windows which reformated my hardrive removing everything ive got pretty much everything back but some recent files my sister made, her college entry essays, is their any way i can get them back ? please respond

Ok how "recent" was the formatt? I hope for your sake it was soon.

There are programs that can retrieve deleted and formatted files... google up free ones.

They would probably be called something like, undelete files or file recovery

what is your anti virus software, if it dodn't catch it Then Id get ride of it. If my AV didn't catch a virus and delete it ID reformat.

I use multiple programs to "clean" computers of infections. Prehaps one of these will work or use all of them for a better "clean"

Adware SE Perssonel


As for getting files back use ERD as suggested.
