no disc... WHAT?

my clone DVD2 prog is telling me that i have to insert a recordable disc every time i try to copy. its not dirty, scratched, used, BRAND NEW. does this with Maxell and imation disks.

when this happens, I go into the registry and delete upperfilters and lowerfilters and reboot and it works fine. I recently did this when I install Alcohol 120% and it has worked fine ever since.

Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/CurrentControlSet/Control/Class/{4d36e965-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}
On the File menu, click Export.
In the File name box, type savedkey, and then click Save.
Click the REG_MULTI_SZ data type UpperFilters, and then click Delete on the Edit menu. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.

Note If this data type is missing, go to Method 2.
Click the REG_MULTI_SZ data type LowerFilters, and then click Delete on the Edit menu. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
then restart the computer.

very good possiblilty. try a different brand and drd+rw

lite-on drives are your problem
they're cheap quality and noisy

sell your dvd-rw drive, and buy an LG.
