Monitor Twitch/Flicker

Hi,
I just bought a new monitor a few weeks about, it is a 17" IBM Flat CRT. A few days ago it started flickering on the side edges, deguassing didnt seem to help.....that however has stopped for the time being, but now the whole screen seems to twitch now and again.......does anyone had this problem before or know what it could be?

I had a 15" CRT monitor on the computer before and it was running fine as far as i knew. It is also running a Geforce FX5600 256mb video card. Also it is running a resolution of 1152X864 at 75hz. (i turned up the hertz from 60, to try stop the flickering, it helped a bit).

Hate to say it, but unless someone else here has some advice for you, it kind of sounds like you got a defective monitor.

yeah, i thought it would be faulty aswell......i tried another 17" monitor on this computer and it was prefectly fine.

Im going to try and get a replacement from IBM.
