6800GS or 6800GT

I don't care about the price difference. I want to know which one is better. The 6800GS can overclock to 540mhz core, and 1.23ghz memory. It only has 12 pipelines though. But how would the GS OC'ed compare to a GT OC'ed? That is what I want to know.

Also there is the matter of Nvidia saying that all the 6800 cards except for the GS are going to be going away.

I'm sorry, but it doesn't. I want a comparison between a 6800gt overclocked and a 6800gs overclocked, both to their highes potential, on air.

I wanted to try and compare specs of them overclocked, like 3dmark05 scores and what not, but the machines would have to match eachother in order for me to know what basis to judge on.

Any reasons why? According to those tests the 6800GS beats the Ultra, and the GT overclocks to Ultra speeds.

I remember a friend that got two 6800 gs's with aftermarket coolers and managed to hit 500mhz on the cores. Those things were beasts.....
