Intel vs. AMD

I am looking to build a new PC but haven't decided on Intel vs. AMD.
I have looked at the P4 Extreme 3.73GHz and also their P4 Dual Core 840 and they look quite alike. Then AMD have some kick-ass dual-core chips so I am confused as to which is best.

Any advice?

AMD's dual core cpu's are exceptional, i personally recommend AMD

On TF, you will always find that the majority prefer AMD. I personally prefer Intel.

there were alot of post about these two companies. you can just search it, and find more about it. of course amd is much better, and much cheaper.

if you want dual core then go for AMD do not get an intel dual core as they are rubbish. For single core it depends on what you want from your computer and how much you have/want to spend
