Socket 939 Opterons

NVM, I just found out I can get an AMD Opteron 165 Dual Core, SHIBBY! What was the link to it on Monarch? I can't believe it, everything is falling into place!

I would think it would, and hopefully we both hit 3ghz on air, because a dual core, at 3ghz, with 2mb of L2 cache, is almost unheardof, and would be so amazingly fast!

Yea well, the only reason im looking into this is because i just realized i owe alot of money to somebody and the 146 is right up my ally in price.

Well not ANY San Diego core per se...no way you'd have a shabby little Opteron clock past a week15 or 16 San Diego...I'm saying if you were to randomly draw 10 Opterons and 10 other Revision E cores the opterons would most likely yield higher overclocks

Lol yea, be one of the few with them. I feel so lucky, a dual core Opteron, me and gaara are gonna be so amazingly happy with these.

Lol I am only 15, lol I am in a giddy mood ever since my mom told me she would buy me the CPU for christmas, and my dad is getting me the DFI Lanparty nF4 SLI mobo and evga 6800gs.

BTW, I am back to my normal self, just I was and still am so excited to be getting nearly top of the line stuff. It isn't that big of an upgrade for you, but look at my specs, it is a much bigger jump up for me.

Yes...the 7700 is fine

If I can stress one thing and only one thing, buy it NOW...all AMD cores have deteriorated in overall overclockability the longer they have been availible, happened with both the Winchesters and the Venices...for example, I have a week15 venice that I've benched at 2.85Ghz and am confident could reach 3GHz...Nubius has a week18, produced literally 3 weeks after mine...we both have near identical systems and his maxes at I think 2.525GHz
