Well i'm planning to get back into gaming a little bit and i have 600ish to spend, i already have speakers, monitor, keyboard, and stuff so its just 600 on everything else. I would like to keep it around 600 MAX 650 since i would still have to buy games and window or i might just go linux if i think that will work.

I'm wanting to play games like BF2, H2, far cry, and stuff like that pretty much the latest games as well as future games. Also a decent DVD burner or something like that would be good. I like to burn cd's so it doesn't have to be top of the line or anything.
I tried picking the parts of a suggestion list that a friend gave me but i failed horribly at it, i didn't know enough bout the parts i was picking or rather they would work together  . And turns out yall didn't like the list he gave me either lol!

Might someone be able to post links from where i can buy the exact part online? Or maybe atleast give me the full name so i can look up the exact item.

Thanks for any of yall help!
I'm hoping i can put together something soon. Both my computer are dieing anways lol.

Along with that what about the HD and internet card and sound card?

you dont need a internet card, you dont need a sound card cause you dont have enough money :D

dont get that psu + case combo, get separate cause the psu that comes with the case is crap :(

get the eVGA 6600GT

what hdd size do you want? get a seagate barracuda however big sata150 hdd 8MB cache :)

hahah well i dont know if i could live without sound or internet!! Maybe i can take then out of one of the old computers old computer?? Or do you think they would be to out dated?

:(

I'm not sure about what drive i want i was idk what would be enough these days. but i have a 40 GB drive outa my PS2 would that work with a computer? Maybe i could get a 80 GB HD and just use that till i decide to upgrade or thow another one in if the 40GB wont work.

And what the diffence between the eVGA 6600GT and the other one? and i say other cards with 256MB does that mean their better or no?

the eVGA 6600GT 256MB is a bottleneck cause the gpu slows down the ram so it decreases performance :O

and the freakin sound and internet is built into the mobo

get an 80GB hdd

Anyways thanks for your help. I think i'm going ot be ordering some parts real soon.

haha good point.

1 more question tho.

Would i see faster gameplay/less lag if i got a better internet card then just the one thats integrated with the mobo?

no...

you will need a faster internet connection like my blazing fast comcast high speed interenet :D
