How often can my files be downloaded from Megaupload?
There is no limit! We host files which have been downloaded more than a million times.
And even more: The more downloads your files get, the more you can earn from our Megauploader Rewards program.
How long does Megaupload store my files? If you are a Premium member, your files will be stored forever until you delete them yourself. If you are a free user, your files are stored as long as they are being downloaded. If a file was not downloaded for 30 days, it gets deleted automatically.
Which files are allowed to be uploaded? How long does Megaupload store my files?All files that do not violate our terms of service or the laws of concerned countries. This means that files violating copyrights, or pornography displaying minors, are forbidden and will be removed as soon as we notice. If you see such files on Megaupload, we would be glad if you notify us: Simply report an abuse on our front page.
Why was my upload disconnected when visiting one of the sponsors? First of all, we are happy that you support us by visiting our sponsored links! Be sure to right click on the sponsored links while uploading, then choose to open it in a new window. Otherwise your upload would be interupted.
Where do I see the link of my uploaded file? You will see it in the upper right corner once your upload is completed. If you enter your email address before uploading, you will also receive an email with both the file and its delete link. This is strongly recommended.
Can I include links to uploaded images directly in HTML files? Unortunately, not. Like most major free services on the Internet, we have to assure that our traffic can be paid for. If the images are embedded directly, we would have no chance to show any advertising.
Can I delete my uploaded files? Sure you can! If you enter your email address when uploading a file, we will automatically email you two links: a link to download the file, and your private delete link. If you register and participate in our Megauploader Rewards program, you can also delete the files comfortably from within your personal file manager.
I may enter my email address during my upload. Will I receive spam? No, we do not sell your address to third parties. If we expand Megaupload, we might send a monthly newsletter to you. Entering your email address is also necessary if you want to delete your file, as we will mail you the delete link.
Why is my upload slow? First of all check your own Internet connection - maybe the network of your ISP is overloaded and you better try again at a different time of the day. Also consider getting a Megaupload Premium Account
