I h8 spyware

Everytime I try to open a .exe file on my computer, I double click on it and nothing happens, it hides the file. I don't know if this is spyware or a virus. Can any one help?

go to www.antivirus.com and run a free online scan. Note and remove whatever it finds then post back your results. Sounds like a virus not spyware.

BTW: Im finally on 500 posts!

I have Norton and I've scanned it like 4 time and nothing comes up. Ad-aware doesn't show anything either

I suggest you try webroot, onecare, and ms-antispy

do they happen to be .lnk files?

Get spybot search and destroy, and AVG free.

tried spybot, ms-anti spyware, AVG, pccillan, webroot, hijack this, and Autoruns but none of them show anything. I think i'll just format reinstall. bummer.
