Noisy laptop cpu fan

Hey guys, I bought a Compaq laptop that is part of the r4000 series back in May and around August the cpu fan started making annoying grinding sounds. If I lightly tilt the laptop back and forth, it will stop, but soon enought the grinding sound will kick in again. I bought the laptop from Newegg and was wondering if it would be safe enough for me to fix myself. Should I buy a new heatsink fan or what? Or will Compaq fix it?

does it still have a warranty? call up newegg or compaq and get the fan replaced that fan is going.

you will screw your computer up man, unless you know how to work with laptops.

you have to get the fan replaced, it's not like a cold it will not get better. If your fan slows or it stops the notebook will overheat and more then likely dammaged.
