Yeah, but doesnt this fan go inside the case?
 
The fans on the power supply are primarly to cool the internal components of the PSU it self, it also was designed with ATX in mind, to help cool the CPU, but its not that big of a factor.

When they designed ATX motherboards they decided to put the CPU more towards the power supply so those fans can also help cool it.
 
Oh, I see. I guess it's just that all the power supplies that i am familliar with have the fan blowing out of the case. Thanks for the clarification.

Some power supplies have only 1 Fan, but most have 2. the fan may go inside the case, but its still pushing air into or out of the power supply.
 
wouldnt worry about your PSU cooling your pcu, just get a heatsink/fan for it. But anyways be careful not to get one wear you need ear plugs, make sure it is queit if it means anything to you.,but I think it is so annoying.
 
My concern wasn't it cooling it, but rather heating it. I guess the PSU doesn't give off much heat, though, so it shouldn't be a problem.
