I am trying to solve a clients problem. I've been in the business for a long time and this has got me stumped.
I can read the contents of a disk when it is in the Floppy A drive. (1.44mb 3.5 inch) However I can not save anything to this drive.
I attempted to fix this problem and I found that not only I can read the A drive, but I was even able to install a small program off the A drive, but I cant save anything to that drive.
To fix this, I have put in a new ribbon cable. I have also swapped out the floppy drive and put in a new one. I checked the Bios and everything is setup correctly. In the Device manager I am able to see the floppy drive. It has no conflicts and shows correct drive letter (A) associated with it.
The Error I get: It states that I dont have permissions or the disk is write protected. (I checked and the disk is not write protected. I tried several disks)
