No you should be able to do the reapair no risk all it does is replace the system files of the OS (system32/windows folder defualts) to the origanal files. All your personal files and folders will not be touched.
This may make you lose some OS mods you have done but I doubt you've made any and this is generally a easy way to fix blue screen of death errors.
