Yes it will play BF2 with good settings. How do I know this, you ask? Well, in fact, I own a 6600GT, and it plays BF2 splendidly. It plays it at nice and high frame rates whilest keeping the graphics settings at a nice level.
well depending if your system has 2 gigs of memory and is getting at least 4gb memory bandwidth on reading and it is in dual channel a 6600gt should run maxed out withall settings on high 1182/864 resolution perfectly but unfurtunatley.... i have my 6600gt for sale http://cgi.ebay.com/EVGA-6600GT-AGP...ryZ40161QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
oh I wouldnt get an XFX its my friend and also its AGP does that effect if he would want to maybe install a additional pci GFX card.would they work in together in differant ports.
The interface has no effect on the graphics performance because AGP has more than enough bandwith still for current games.
You can't use a PCI gfx and an AGP one in conjunctions. However, on an ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 board you can use the AGP and PCIe gfx in conjunction to get performance slightly below SLI using two different gpus.
