I have this little device that you plug into your usb port and into a hard drive, cd-rom, ect. So I connected a newly installed hard drive to this device and used norton ghost 9 and made a ghost of the hard drive to a network folder. Then i connected a new hard drive to the device. I then used ghost to copy the image to the hard drive. It boots up just fine to the logon screen. When i type in administrator and the password, it logs in and immediatly logs out. I am wondering if maybe i need to change the sid, but i can not get into windows to do so. I tried using sysprep and new-sid both of which can not run in dos.

if you have ghost, use ghstwalk to change the sid.
You shouldn't need to change the sid, unless the machine ou ghosted off exists on the network already. if they are off line, there should be no problem.
