yes you can have 2 sound cards in your computer at one time, but you can only use one of them at a time

That would be kind of cool if you could hook up 2 nice card's for 10.2 surround

I do and I have ran 3 different soundcards at the same time on a PC.

never tried it, but i have onboard sound and a soundblaster audigyz plat. i use the audigy for basic needs (music, games, etc.) and i use the on board for the mic.
