when do you ever looked in your motherboard manual?

I read it cause I am interested in specs and such. Don't need manual to connect everything. After a few tries the power button/hdd lights usually work

lol, when i said DIP switches i didn't mean on my current pc, although it's horribly obsolete as well. i work with a lot of older hardware.

My MMX from 1997 doesn't have any DIP switches. My IBM P2, wich is newer, does however.

its just generally DIP switches are only found on older boards, i'm guessing that P1 board has jumpers in place of switches. i think its not long after the slot1 cpu was introduced that jumpers and DIP switches for the cpu were abandoned

your MajorMMX must have been really good quality back in its day. It can handle overclocking and SDRAM. not many p1's have that.

Yes. And it's Baby-AT. So the mobo looks nice and small.
