Hi everyone, im kinda new to here

AMD sempron 2600+ @ 1.8ghz
512 ram ( dont know the number after "pc" , sorry )
ATi radeon 9550 with 128MB video ram ( AGP )

can i get a 6600GT ? will my cpu bottleneck it? and can someone tell me how to check what my PSU is please, i dont know how many watts it is. i hope a 250 watt is enough =(

thanks anyways ! have a nice day

whats your psu, thats probably the main factor a 6600GT would be good. a 9800pro is good, especially mines ;)

UPDATE information about my motherboard

manufacturer : ASUSTeK Computer Inc.

Model : A7V8X-X

Chipset : VIA KT400A

hmm so is my mobo compaitable with 6600GT? also, what program checks what watt your psu is ? thanks a lot guys !

hmm, theres a physical way of checking to see your wattage..
take the side panel off your computer and if you know what a psu looks like, find it.. (upper left hand corner) and it should say xxx watts on the side.. xxx being the number of how many watts it is

you need to open your case and look for a watt rating. It's on the big sticker. Also, take a look at your +12V rating is. Ideally, I think you're gonna want 15ish at a minimum.

You have an AGP 8x slot. You'll be just fine upgrading. Make sure your 6600GT is AGP 8x compatible, and you'll be golden.

Its a good card for your computer. Although your CPU probably needs a upgrade too.
