I'm curious if anyone knows how to:
:-Combine multiple movie files, each of the same type, but hopefully supporting all common types (mpg/mpeg/mov/wmv/etc). It should be doable either having the same bitrate or reencoding the higher to match the lower...and probably is a program I'm just not aware of (hopefully!)

Thanks..

vobedit and maybe ifoedit for joining dvd movies, any dvd authoring program for the rest

Thanks for the suggestions, but 1. i'm not doing DVDs specifically and 2. Windows Movie Maker/all dvd authoring progs are newbness:) Like most programs it tries to re-encode it, and not just concatenate it--which is all that is needed.

I did find the perfect program, one very well worth the $20 it is:

Highly recommended for merely combining two video files...just thought I'd share the good-find...:)

Windvd does just that

if its 2 .avi files or .mpg and you want to burn them onto dvd you could always use Divx to DVD...that makes them into 1 movie file
