Modem and Router

Ok, I posted this in the networking section but that section gets almost no traffic so no reply....

Anyway I need to know what is a good modem for an ADSL 3000/512 connection and what would be a good router for that connection. I want to use the router for an ethernet home network between two computers so they can share internet and a printer.

a NIC is a NIC IMO. As far as a router is concerned, I would go with a linksys.

Ok my price range for the router and modem together is ~100 USD max. I'll spend less if I can though.

I would go with your ISP's 10$ modem

For the router I would try a linksys WRRT54G (Or GS)

Are wireless routers just as good as ethernet ones? The signal will have to go through about 6-7 walls.....could I hook up ethernet to the Linksys WRT54G if I wanted?

Oh yeah and whats the difference between the WRT54G and the WRT54GS?

Could I hook up one computer to the WRT54GS wirelessly and one computer with ethernet?
