Reformat?? huh?

i dont understand what there saying they make it sounds so complicated thats y i ask here even booting from a disc they managed to make into a hole page


I just done get this

delete the partitions

add new ones


and when u say reformat isnt that hole process a reformat?
 
a. When the Microsoft Windows 98 Startup menu is displayed, select the Start computer without CD-ROM support menu option, and then press ENTER.
b. At a command prompt, type fdisk, and then press ENTER

select yes

Select yes

Delete the partition by selecting 3 and then usually 1, if not the choose 2 or 3

hit the esc key

Then make a new partition by choosing 1 and 1

reboot

select 1

once you are at the a prompt type

Format c: hit yes

and thats it


once finished, install xp cd and install
 
alright thanks ill try that 1 thing is do i have to go into bios and change to boot cd when install xp again?
 
U might have to. Most system dont but u never know. Just do it I guess to speed the process up just incase it doesnt
