Excel help

Hello.
I'm trying to find out how I make a certain letter, say A, equal 2.

For example.

A+A+A = 6

Or simply said, giving a variable a value.

Can anyone help me?

in excel, you can can cell assgnments as variables.

for instance, i put 2 into cell a1. Then, in cell b1 i enter =a1+a1+a1. The contents of b1 will calculate to 6.

I want to make a letter, say B, represent a number like 5.
