Hard drive issues

I have a laptop that wont boot up into windows cause of a system config file corrupted safe mode wont load and im trying ot repair but win xp cd wont give me the "press any key to boot from CD" option so i cant get into the setup for repair ne ideas around this??

Can you enter the BIOS, change boot priority to CD-ROM first.

yea i got it its a shitty dell bios so i didnt know i had to have the arrow point ot the drive i wanted to start first unlike other bios where u jsut list the order i hate dell

You need to figure it out because that is the problem. Call Dell support and talk to a guy in Rangoon who can't speak english!! I'm joking....do not call Dell support, I think they share it with MS!!! In India. Play with your device boot order in the Cmos until you get the CD to be first in line. And you'll be good to go!
