Hi,

Looking for some quick help.

I currently have 1024mb of ram, in 2 slots of 512mb, DDR 400MHZ, PC3200.

I've been given a further 1024mb by my brother -in-law, although it is PC2100. Can I replace one of my 512mb with this, giving me 1.5gb or is it a no-go?

Can't see any reference to the speed on the new chip, possibly 266mhz?

Any help appreciated.....

Thanks,

Jer.

I would not recommend placing that 512 2100 with your 1Gb 3200. The reason being your 1Gb of 3200 will clock down to 2100 (IF) it even works.

You are better off staying with your 1Gb of 3200

Yes try doing this because if you sell it you can put it towards your next purchase int he future.....
