Timmy is working on a new computer, while messing around on the inside, he accidentaly shorts out one of the psu cables.... the computer turns off instantly, he imediatly tries to turn it back on but nothing happens

what just happened, and what can he do to get it back on

good enough, I was thinking about it being a safety mechanism, on mine I have to wait for a while then it will turn back on... or unplug it and plug it back in then it will go...

your up..

hmmm... I'll try to come up with one....
aaa, errr mmm...

a ha,

Timmy has a TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H542A with ts01 firmware, he decides to update it to ts07, so he goes to the manufacturers site and downloads the firmware and the flash utility... he runs the program and nothing goes wrong... after it completes he is prompted to restart, so he does but when the computer comes back on the drive seems like it's not getting any power, and in the firmware utility it says boot instead of the firmware version...

what does he have to do to make the new firmware take effect?
