Hey, I know this question has probably been posted before but I did some searches and cannot find a direct answer, all I do is play games on my computer and im getting a 939 system and stuck on what processor to buy. I have a x8800gto2 (OC to x850xtpe) vid card. Wondering if there is a real difference in gaming between say 3000venice and 3500 when playing the newest games. Or is money better spent on say 2 gigs instead of 1. thanks

The difference is price and speed if you have the money go for the 3500, though I would just get a 3200+ if you really don't want to spend the money for a 3500.

I have a certain amount of money im just trying to figure out how to distribute it, like 2 gigs pretty quality ram and 3000 or 1 gig and 3500, what produces better gaming?

so Pzero ur saying that a duron with 2 gigs of memory and a 7800Gtx, so itd run BFG and farcry perfectly with 70+ FPS?

You said processor has no big role in gaming?
