So what say ye? Did I leave anything out? Is there anything in there that may be a glaring mistake, such as mobo/RAM/PSU incompatibility? I think I have done my homework, and learned a lot from this site as well as DFI Street. Thanks to all who have helped thus far in getting my new rig off the ground!

Looks fine, but why 2 different hard drives? also some i will suggest get Seagate or WD HDs, they are alot more reliable. im sure other people will also suggest Seagate or Western Digital.

Also LITE-ON is kinda the budget brand of stuff for computers.. and if that mouse is wireless.. wireless mouses arent that good for games but it will do.

very very nice. The good thing about that maxtor is the 16mb buffer though.

Still might be worth considering seagate and setting them up in RAID 0, and if your getting the fancy sound card you should go all out on the speakers and get the Z-5500's, and trim down on costs on things like the case and RAM if budget is a concern.

I also suggest replacing the HD's with Western Digital. I've been solely using them for years and never had a problem.

Change the maxtor harddrive. I have a 250GB 16MB cache 7200rpm from western digital and it works great. Same specs as maxtor.

Bad choices on hard drives.
I appreciate any input you may have, but that is a bit cryptic, can you explain yourself?

If you are referring to RAID 80's, I went with them because of the speed & cost advantage over Raptors.

If you are referring to the brand (and this goes for the guys under your post), I have been using Maxtors for years with no problems. In fact, the only HDDs I have had to replace have been Seagates & WDs (out of more than 200 comps, I have had to replace about 8 HDDs).

That is a gaming mouse. It has high speed 2.4GHz wireless with 500 reports per second. You will not notice a difference between that and a wired mouse. I'm probably going to get that mouse pretty soon too. Good choice.

Last thing, for the optical drive, get a plextor. They are high quality.
