I decided to go all out ... this is what I came up with. I'm sure ya'll will disaggree with some of my choices, but screw off :D

I also decided that i'd go with the monitor i have .. which is the 8ms 19" L90D+ hyundia... its pretty nice ... but somewhere along the lines i think ill get a really nice projector or somethnig ... sounds like fun to me.

i wont mention the price .. you'll have to add it up yourself :p

I disagree with the Sound Card. The $120 would have been just as good as the $400 one. The Elite is actually for those that do professional sound recording.

Windows XP Pro x64 won't run everything you throw at it, especially games.

What about the Speakers/Headset?

im in a band ... and we havent done much recording yet ... so thats actually a good thing.

yeah i also have the x86 xp pro so ill try them both out.

still undecided about speakers/headset yet ...

maybe you didnt take into account two of each harddrive ... 4 gigs of memory and two of the video cards ...

it was like 4800 plus tax and shipping... >.<

Don't need 4 gigs of RAM, 2 is quite adequet.

That sound card blows for the money, I posted a better one earlier.

Coolmax power supplies suck. with the money he had, he can go OCZ, PC power and cooling or an Antec one, all of which are light years better then coolmax.

Plextor Drivers perform better and last longer then sony, For this amount of money he can go plextor.
