I have a ASUS a7n8x-e motherboard. It has q-fan technology. My case has and intake and exhust fan. I think they are 4 pin connectors. I was wanting to plug them into my motherboard so the motherboard can set the fan speed depending on the temp. The motherboard has the 3 pin connectors. My idea was to just replace the case fans with a 3 pin connector fans of the same size. Now, my queston/confusion. The motherboard has these fan connectors on it - CPU fan (obviosly that is for my processors fan), it has 1 for PWR fan (what the hang is that?), and 1 for the chasis fan (could I somehow have both the intake and exhust running off this?) What would be the best answer? I'm looking for the best thing to do. I'd like to take advantage of the features on this board.

the Only fan That should connect to motherboard is the CPU Fan.

All others should use molex connectors from power supply.

I hope thats what you asked.

I don't know if you can control fan speeds via-windows. I know people have fan controllers on their case in the 5.25 slots. Those are pretty nifty inventions.
