Sound glitches

Problem:
When playing games like Doom3 and HL2, every couple minutes a sound will repeat or skip. Sometimes, it freezes the game while repeating one sound over and over really fast. Eventually, I get the blue screen of death and have to restart my computer. Does anyone here know what I'm talking about? Any possible fixes?

I figured as much. I downloaded all the stuff from Creative.com that I could, I'll see if it helps.

What chipset and graphics card are you using?

Chipset: Intel i915P I think.
