i hear they make static chokers now as well. lol it may sound dumb but i think if i were you and assembling a computer with that parts list it wouldn't sound so dumb. seriously that is a lot of hardware to fry. to be honest i think this is not the best parts list if you are making this your first build. it just isn't worth the risk of stuffing it up.

edit: i'm not saying don't go with these parts but perhaps you really should consider getting it built for you. well if you don't we're all here every step of the way

you might want to consider the X1800XT instead of the 7800GTX. both are very good cards, and the X1800XT is a wee bit quicker but is more expensive.
