Hi People,

I'm currently living in Japan. I am about to invest in a hard drive. If I take this drive back to Australia and stick it into a system the same as the one I have here, will it work? (I'm buying an internal drive.) I assume that the standards for voltages etc. WITHIN the computer system (+-5V, +-12V??) are the same internationally, and that I'll have no probs. But I want to confirm, because I don't want a fried hard drive (and lost data).

Cheers,

Kyoto

As long as they are the same voltages when you poweron your computer you will be fine, if there not, just change the ps settings.

i've bought a hd in korea and plugged it into the comp i built in the states with no problems.
i'm pretty sure you won't have any problems.
