compuer will not perform system restore

for the past month i have been trying to use system restore but it doesnt seem to work does anyone have any idea what i should do

Did you set a restore point yet? What does it do?

Is system restore turned off possibly? Right click on "My Computer" then properties, then system restore. Make sure it is not set to turn off system restore.
