Geforce 6600GT 128MB VS 6600 (non-GT) 256MB.

one card has more memory, but the other card has faster GPU.

which one is better???????????

Im guessing all the video processing will go to your video card's memory 1st then it will go to your systems memory, once it runs out of memory on you video card, is that right?

6600GT is better....the lack of memory doesn't really hurt it's performance...beyond that I believe the 6600 regular is using the older video memory whereas the 6600GT is using GDDR3 memory, the latest available.

Overall the 6600GT will give you better performance dispite the lower amount of memory

Yea, definitely go with the GT.

Hmmmm, How about 6600GT VS 6800? Wonder which one is faster

6800 will outperform the 6600GT but not by much. the 6800 has 12 pipelines and can be unlocked to 16 and the 6600GT has 8 pipelines but a 500mhz core and ddr3 at 1ghz.

On the 6600GT how will your game ability feel different, going from 128MB to 256MB OR from 256MB to 128MB?

not a significant difference, but it's there. That's why they offer both models. Personally, I'd cheap out and get the 128, but the 256 is a better performer.

The 256mb version of the 6600GT isn't much faster than the 128mb version, and in some cases, is slower..

snap, didn't even realize they had put out a 256mb 6600GT...in the case of AGP a 6800GT should be like $275-$290 by now....my PCI-E was $304
