CPU Usage

I'm not sure if this is actually a problem, but I need to clarify it anyhow. I'm running an AMD Athlon64 3400+ .. not the beefiest CPU available, but it has no trouble running anything I throw it. My problem is that when I run certain web applications, the usage skyrockets to 100% regardless of the complexity of the program. Things like Flash games. What is the cause for this, and is there a fix? Thanks for any replies.

What kind of CPU % are you running at idle?

If you are more than a couple % at idle, perhaps you should look at doing virii/spyware scans.

0% at idle. No spyware or adware or virii on this PC..
