most Americans think that Norton or symantec are the best AV because Norton Monopolized the market. but everybody else all over the world use AVG, avast or Nod32. they are all better than Norton and they use little computer resources.

Eric: you got my attention :) i uses avast on my xp x64 edition machine but i am not impressed by it. i am checking out nod32 and it looks impressive. i can say that nod32 looks like a force to be reckoned with. i definitely have to try it. plus it promises the fastest real-time protection.

Not bad at all!!! ok i am sorry for being so hasty to dismiss nod32 before but it was only because i was not impressed with avast.

you will really appreciate it, especially if you have low ram. this is the A/V that most corperations use

I use Symantec AV 10 Corporate Edition and so does my company and many of my customers. Even on low ram systems, 192mb, it runs fine.

Eric lets try not to start a whats the best flame war. Symantec has good AV the rest of the world doesn't use it because people don't pay for things generally in china. I think their piracy rating as at 64% right now.

cdkiller you can't unless you are a MSDN member vista will be released in final form to the public on Nov 2006 (ish)
