Best TV type?

what is your opinion on the best type of tv? hdtv, plasma, lcd, ect. Also what has the best resolution and such.

Right now plasma is the best (in terms of contrast and color). But soon there will be a new HDR technology (High Dynamic Range) which will be put in TVs and the contrast ratio on a plasma is 1000:1 were as the new Brightside DP37-P will have something like 200,000:1.

Tubes are still the best.

1080p is the best format.

They each fit a range. I am assuming hd widescreen for all of course.

CRT up to 34"
LCD up to about 38"
Plasma 42" and up

Rear projection is the only real dog of the bunch...

Plasma's in know way 'suck' for the large hdtv screen market. It is basically the best you can get.

Samsung makes a 54" LCD and 63" plasma. Those are the biggest in the world.

Plasma suck because of the burn in, keep it on the TV listings channel too long, or news channel and bye bye TV.

I use a rear projection TV and I am happy with it

That doesn't make them suck, you just have to not be a dumbass. As far as picture, they blow a rear projection away, especially when it comes to viewing angle.
