HI ,

I have a weird problem ...
When I right click and choose properties for a folder (containg downed mp3's) to see how large the size is of the total folder, I get about 1.69 Gigabytes. However there is much more in the folder. When I enter the folder and select all folders in it, and right click and properties then I get a totally different size amount, about 5.50 gigabytes. How is this
possible ???

Please advise
thank you
Ralph

Do you have other folders inside the top folder?

That problem does not happen with XP, only prior versions of windows.

Are any of the files within the folder hidden?

Yes there are more folder in that main folder.
But I think I know what is causing it. The very first folder's size
in that main folder is the cause i believe. The size of the first folder
is 1.59 Gigabytes, and all following folders are not recorded when the main folder is selected and properties. But when I move the first folder of mp3's to another location and leave the rest , then recheck the properties, then I see a larger amount (actual amount) of gigibytes of size.

So i guess the folder itself in crooked

your thoughts
