Vista Build 5231

Details on a new build of Windows Vista (Formerly Windows Code-Named "Longhorn") have leaked this morning, along with screenshots showing the new build. The build carries the build string 5231.winmain.050912-2020.

Some of the known new nicities in the build include the new WMP11 in its primitive form, Some new IE7 features (including the tab previews), and new sound settings. (Read More for information on some other new features in this build).

The build has leaked to certain individuals but is yet to publicly leak.

Well there are monthly releases now this is the October build.


When you say leak you mean pirated correct so MSDN can not get this download as of yet?

No MSDN can not get it yet. It isnt really leaked just screen shots are loose. The indivuals have not leaked it yet. Chris123NT and his friends are not out to leak this. They just let some screen shots go to get everyone in an uproar.
