Hey, I had a friends pc fry out, nothing would work and it wouldnt power up, when it stopped working smoke came from the psu apperently, i have replaced the Psu and its running smooth... Now what caused this!! .......
The pc is set up in a seperate place from the house that my mate uses for photography, this room is quite cold and when i felt the pc case it was so cold you could write your name on the case!
Would this effect the pc? and if this is why it fried out would they be better moving it into there actual house?
Thanks! :)

You mean there was moisture forming on the side of the case? If thats the case then it could definitly cause that. Did it do this at start up or during normal operation? When a computer is running it should be warmer then room air, and so moisture shouldn't form on it.... or in it.

If the computer is actually getting colder then room temp then you should move it asap. There are exceptions to this, but usually only experienced people do this type of thing.
